Saddle up for one of Outback Queensland’s most exciting weekends! The Wandoan Camel Races bring heart-pounding live camel racing, fine country fashion, a vibrant Kids Fun Zone, rockin’ live music, and a sky full of fireworks – all set against the iconic charm of our proud bush town.

 

This is a full-day, all-ages celebration of community and country fun. Families are at the heart of the event, with non-stop entertainment for the little (and not-so-little!) ones – from thrilling Aussie FMX stunt shows and hilarious pig races, to rides, games, and hands-on kids activities that’ll keep everyone grinning from ear to ear.

Elevate your race day in style at the Senex Spritz and Glitz Marquee, our exclusive VIP trackside experience featuring premium hospitality and the best view in the house. Tickets are on sale soon – stay tuned via our website and social media. Be quick! They sell out fast every year.

Stewarding and nurturing the stock, long time owner John ‘Richo’ Richardson and his family oversee the fun and safety of Camels and attendees from hoof to head! Richo also rolls up his sleeves with our incredible volunteer committee to raise vital funds, with 100% of proceeds supporting the Wandoan & District Kindergarten – the region’s only early childhood education provider.

Style takes centre stage too, with our always-popular Fashions on the Field – where racegoers show off their best bush glamour and compete for fabulous prizes. Whether you're in boots or heels, there's something for everyone at the Wandoan Camel Races!
