Dashing through the sand! A familiar biennial event in Western Queensland, caramel hued Camels will again descend on the Wandoan Showgrounds Saturday October 9th 2027 for the Wandoan Camel Races. While most of us are used to seeing these long-lashed animals on desert roads, their docility and graceful temperament mixed with their remarkable speed make for a feature celebration of skill, pace and humour! These spirited companions race head-to-head to showcase their agility and win the Grand Prize, the Shell QGC Cup!
